ALWAYS FOUND
Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Pre-launch draft · 3 August 2026
1. About this policy
Always Found is an Australian sole-trader business based in Queensland. This policy explains how Always Found collects, holds, uses, discloses, protects and deletes personal information. Always Found intends to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to create and maintain customer pages, verify authorised people, process payments and administer the service. This may include approved public business details, authorised contacts, confidential verification information, page approvals, billing status and communications.
3. Information we do not ordinarily collect
Always Found does not ordinarily ask for or retain passports, driver licences, Medicare cards or other government-issued identity documents. Verification questions do not need to use genuine personal facts.
4. How information is used
Information may be used to assess applications, verify authority, create and update customer pages, process change requests, send service and renewal notices, administer payments, respond to complaints or suspected fraud, protect the service and meet legal or record-keeping obligations.
5. Information published on customer pages
Only information supplied and approved in writing by an authorised person will intentionally be published. Public information may be viewed, copied, indexed or cached by third parties. Confidential verification answers, recovery codes, private contacts, approval records and payment information are never published.
6. Service providers and disclosure
Always Found does not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information may be disclosed only where reasonably necessary to hosting, security, email, payment, bookkeeping, professional-advice or technical-support providers, or where required or authorised by law.
7. Payment information
Payment providers handle payment-card information. Always Found may retain payer names, receipt details, payment status and transaction references, but does not store full card numbers or card security codes.
8. Security
Always Found takes reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information, including access controls, multi-factor authentication, protected backups and identity-verification procedures. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
9. Retention, access and correction
Information is kept only as long as reasonably required to provide and administer the service, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. A person may request access to or correction of their information. Identity verification may be required before non-public information is discussed or changed.
10. Questions and complaints
Privacy enquiries, access or correction requests and complaints may be sent to information@alwaysfound.com.au. Always Found will acknowledge and investigate a privacy complaint and aims to provide a written response within 30 days.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated when the service, providers or legal obligations change. Material changes affecting existing customers will also be communicated by email where reasonably practicable.
